Exams in Granada

Things not to forget:

1- There are libraries that are open all night long so that students could come and study. and its only for students.

2- EURO 2008 madness is here too, Erasmus students are flocking to the many bars and taperias that are everywhere watching the games in an unforgettable ambiance.

3- I went the other day around Alhambra, it is amazing how there are magnificent small forests everywhere for people to enjoy hiking and biking...many nice routes...

4- Everybody is preparing for summer, some are going back to their villages, some are staying, but all in all it will be a great summer, I have decided to go to Sweden to do some renovation work in a house in the mountains (well, I have no idea what I´ll be doing!)

5- Going to the water festival on the 23rd , where there will be a water fight!

6- Granada 10 , Is the coolest place ever, a place that reminds you (of some hollywood films that remind you about NY in the 30´s! ) , its an old cinema, all chairs are taken and left with a huge area for dancing, with nice golden couches around. We partied from 2-7 , and it was a blast!

7- Some Erasmus have already started leaving Granada, quiet sad, My best friend Maria has already left. I will restart!

Euro 2008 kicks off

So maria's parents came over to see their daughter, it was pretty interesting the little conversation we had (they only speak italian) , but I know exactly 4 words of italian , and with that and some spanish frensh mixture we managed just fine :))

Deniz's mother came to stay with us for few days as well, and I tried to recall every and single word of turkish, I said : welcome, my name , im from jordan...

And they asked me if the patio is an arabic word, and I guess not.

It is perfect weather outside and I wish this could be felt and transmitted through a blog.

What else...

I'm pretty sad about our loss 1-0 in the match with Korea and impatiently waiting to watch italy vs. other , spain vs. other , with spanish italian people! those are my teams now ...

I was thinknig today that we don't have it on t.v (the matches) , but that maybe its better so as for me to discover any left cafes and pubs I didn't discover yet.

Our latest discovery was a nice Botellon* area infront of the faculty of arch. was the perfect weather day...I just love june :)))

I'm getting from this. (The picture shows the "wind energy manual" , I'm trying to translate it into whatever understandable form)

So this is the "cuesta=6al3a" I take everyday from to anywhere, And of course the Graffiti art is everywhere, this is the city of Graffiti...

I really need to learn how to do this!

حلم كل يوم

أشعر بقدرة على المسير في الحشائش الرطبة البعيدة، تلك التي تتسلق سفح الجبل، وبرغبة في ليلة باردة بغير مطر، يلف فيها السكون كل شيئ، في ليلة من تلك التي نشعل فيها ضوء الغرفة ونبقيه مضاءاً،ولا نعلم حقاً لماذا، سأجلس على سفح الجبل، أدفئ الأطراف المعرضة للهواء، وأتنفس بعمق، ومن ثم سيدفئ زفيري بتيار حام طرف أنفي البارد، وسيكون كل شيئ على ما يرام.

سأقضي الليل بالتأمل، أفكر في كل شيئ، أي فكرة تخطر ببالي سأتابعها وأحللها و أأتنس بها، سأراقب الجبل المقابل وغرفته المضاءة من بين الحشائش الرطبة الطويلة، أتخيل الدفء هناك وحرارة الضوء المنبعث، سأشعر بالبرد حتماً إن أطفئ الضوء، أتمنى أن لا يحدث هذا. سأقضي كثيراً من الوقت متفحصاً ما هو موجود بحقيبة الظهر التي حملت، قلم رصاص وقلم حبر أحمر، بعض فتات الخبز في القعر، علبة عصير ملتوية في القاع، وبعض الأوراق ممزقة الجوانب، هناك أيضاً قاموس الجيب، وأطلس من الثمانينات منزوع الغلاف ، ومجلة قرأت معظم المقالات فيها، لكنني سأقلب الصفحات علها تستوقفني صورة لم أرها قبلاً أو موضوع يشدني عن عالم الفضاء، سيكون معي كبريت و طرف مشعل يدوي مبلل بالزيت، لن أكون حقاً وحيداً

لكم أنتظر انتصاف الليل واغلاق عيني، ومحاولة التقاط أصوات بعيدة، سأفكر في كلمات مثل مسبار، شهب، كائنات فضائية، تردد وذبذبات، سيكون مثيراً حقاً! إن شعرت بالبرد سأدفئ نفسي ، وإن بالجوع فسأقضي نصف ساعة في تحضير فطيرة من الجبن والزعتر، قد تحترق أطراف الفطيرة على النار المشتعلة، لكنها ستكون وجبة لذيذة، سأتناول الأبريق الفضي لأعد الشاي فيه، كم أنا فرح بانتصاف الليل...ساعة نومي سأحاول جاداً عد النجوم، فالسماء ستكون صافية ، وسأكون أنا حذراً في عدها، أجده صعباً دائماً تحديد الاطار، فأنا لست أمام شاشة حاسوب، ولكن قد تخطر ببالي طريقة ما...ومن بعد كل هذا سأنام كيفما اتفق، بل ربما بقليل من الترتيب وازالة الحجارة من أسفل كيس النوم، بوضع يداي بوضع متقاطع فوق صدري، وعمل جيب دافئ مستقراً لقدماي في هذه الليلة الساحرة ، وفي لحظة لا أعلمها، سأنام حتماً.
....لا أدري، قد يحصل هذا يوماً ، لكن علي اطفاء ضوء الغرفة الآن والاستيقاظ باكراً للعمل
